Sunlight and Wind, Mountain and Water of Andong Artist Kwon Ki-yoon(1954~) has established a singular world of Sumukwha (painting in Indian ink) based on thorough plein-air sketch. Dominant subject of his work is the landscape of Andong and its vicinity, where the artist’s life is based on. This exhibition 《Kwon Ki-yoon:and Wind, Mountain and Water of Andong》 highlights the artist’s recent several years works. The landscape of Andong in this exhibition featured energetic brushstroke and clear coloring of Sumuk Damchaewha (light-colored Indian ink painting). Blank space in the middle ground and background makes an effect of airy space. In this exhibition, the audience can meet the works of artist Kwon Ki-yoonwho has been faithfully searching for his own version of the essence of painting through the sunlight and wind, mountain and water of Andong.
