Scenery of Pure Mind A forest is a main subject of Kang's work. However, his forest does not exist in a particular time and space. It is an arbitrarily created forest that does not exist in real world. The forest in his work is his own forest and it only exist in his mind. Kang expresses his emotional and spiritual world as the scenery of a forest as he desperately feels the need to describe his internal scenery. Considering the current trend for everybody to rush toward the external world., as an artist he feels a responsibility to look to the internal world of people and express it as art. While he contemplates his free inner world, his brush stroke looks rather rough and unrefined.
