Hakgojae Design | PROJECT SPACE presents works by IM Sun Goo (b. 1990, Incheon, Korea) in her solo exhibition, The days were strange and peaceful, from November 5th (Thu) to November 28th (Sat), 2020. IM usually has been presenting series of pencil drawings. The artist masterfully fine-tunes the graphite’s intensity to create a complex and profound picture screen. Forms suggestive of mythology, religion, and primitive beliefs merge with one another and generate an unfamiliar and mystical scene. IM’s interests lie in her own subconscious – she constructs a world on paper using her memories from childhood and accumulated stories. This exhibition presents IM’s six recent video works for the first time.
