Jin Meyerson continues on the legacy of abstract art by rearranging images drawn from the media including magazines, television, and internet, in which he distorts, recolors, stretches, shrinks, and translates into the language of painting. He studied art in Minneapolis and Pennsylvania and built his art career throughout Brooklyn, Paris, and Seoul; Meyerson currently lives and works in Hong Kong. His recent works include randomly selected images of the mass, nature, and machines, depicting a reinterpretation of the artist’s surroundings covered with delicate color schemes.
There will be around ten works, which were recently finished in Hong Kong to be displayed, including his epic work, (2009-2010), which is 6 meters wide, as well as (2013) and (2013).
